The world’s first outdoor robotic parking solution!

Stanley Robotics’ ambition is to disrupt the parking experience.

For this, the company has developed Stan, the world’s first outdoor robotic parking solution. Stan is based on a very simple idea. You park your car in a designated parking spot at the entrance to the car park and Stan collects the vehicle and parks it for you. No need to waste your time parallel parking or looking for a free space. The robot takes care of everything for you. The car is then ready and waiting upon your return. The robot itself is completely autonomous (AGV – Automatic Guided Vehicles) and adapts to all kinds of different environments and weather conditions. Aurélien Cord, CTO and Co-founder of Stanley Robotics, explains. “ Beforehand, we were working in a research lab developing autonomous vehicles. Stan is the product of 15 years of research in this field. Today we’re extremely proud to be able to make this technology available to the general public ”. Having been rolled out just two years ago, Stan is already operational in a major airport! Founded in 2015, Stanley Robotics has been growing and expanding quickly. The company’s first year was dedicated to developing a prototype, which quickly captured the imagination of car park operators.

This initial interest turned to reality when Stanley Robotics formed a partnership with Aéroports de Paris to assist with the airport operator’s parking concerns. Less than one year later, the solution had been rolled out in Charles de Gaulle Airport’s PEF car park. Going international for 2018! Stanley Robotics has ambitions to roll out its solution on a global scale. This latest investment round will allow the start-up to look into new markets and draw up an action plan to launch the company’s parking solutions abroad. COO and Co-founder of Stanley Robotics, Stéphane Evanno, details these ambitions further. “ Europe, North America, countries in the Gulf region,” Evanno explains . “We’re looking into areas where air traffic is likely to skyrocket over the next few years. Our robots are the only solution for airports to gain 50% more capacity in their existing car parks, without having to invest in building additional infrastructure. ” Stanley Robotics, robotics for humans. Stanley Robotics is a venture-backed company that was created in January 2015, and is headquartered in Paris, France. It is developing an automated valet parking service with robots that can move any vehicle and increase capacity in existing car parks by up to 50%, while revolutionizing the user experience.

The three founders, Clément Boussard (CEO), Aurélien Cord (CTO) and Stéphane Evanno (COO), all have previous experience in driverless technology (at top research institutes and with a world-class industrial corporation). How it works? 1) Drop-off your car : No need to waste time any longer! Just drop the car off in our conveniently located designated area. You lock it, hang onto your keys and off you go! 2) Stan takes care of your car : Once you leave, our automatic system Stan slides under the car and gently lifts it by the wheels. The car is then parked in a secure zone. Nobody gets inside your car, so your privacy is safeguarded. 3) Your car is parked for you : Stan transports your vehicle to its parking spot and parks it for you. The car park is completely closed to the public and is secure. 4) Stan returns your car to you As our solution is connected to your plane ticket, we know when you are due to return. Stan takes care of returning your car to the pick-up point, near the car park entrance, so that it is ready and waiting upon your return. Characteristics about our robot: Adapts to all vehicle types: Our robot is able to handle all types of passenger cars, regardless of the vehicle’s size (provided that the maximum length does not exceed 6m). The robot’s power allows it to lift 3 tonnes with ease. Completely autonomous:

Our robot moves independently and can adapt to the different hazards that may cross its path. Its different sensors allow it to understand its surroundings and adapt its movements accordingly Artificial Intelligence: All of our robots are equipped with artificial intelligence, which allows them to optimise the space used within different car parks. Our algorithms are capable of organising the way cars are parked so as to gain additional spaces.

Outdoor technology: Our robots benefit from advances in autonomous driving technology and are the first in the world to transport vehicles outdoors. They are resistant to poor weather conditions and are capable of factoring in their external environment.
